Photos of the Mobile Climate Science Labs at the first annual Bay Area Science Festival Cal State University East Bay -- Saturday, October 29, 2011 We were proud to have been the provider of hands-on climate science at all three of the BASF largest events: Cal State University East Bay -- Saturday, October 29, 2011 North Bay – Sonoma -- Infineon Raceway -- Saturday, November 5, 2011 AT&T Park – San Francisco Giants Baseball Stadium -- Sunday, November 6, 2011 Discovery Day at Cal State University East Bay. Over 70,000 attending the festival overall. As a year round hands-on science program, engaging 100,000's annually, the Mobile Climate Science Labs were proud to be part of BASF. Thank you, Bay Area Science Festival! Infrared Light and Energy Lab Ocean Acidification Demonstration How changes in carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere alter the chemistry of the oceans. Where: • Students are given the opportunity to lead the public in hands-on science discovery. As educators, involving thousands more, young and old. • Local K-12 teachers get real world experience in hands-on teaching, in our very supportive lab environment. Happening even during BASF! • Persevere in supporting the local schools with evidence-based hands-on science, even while public funding for education is being withdrawn; at a time when experiential, involving science programs are being discouraged, most having closed, especially in disadvantaged communities.
